Strengthening Collaborations & Bilateral discussions for development assistance with Indonesia

The Fiji Corrections Service today had a bilateral meeting with HE Ambassador Dupito D Simamora at the Indonesian Embassy office in Suva for possible development assistance.

The FCS delegation was led by the D

eputy Commissioner, Auta Moceisuva and two senior officers to discuss areas of possible assistance relating to the effective rehabilitation of inmates and training of staff as part of the broader strategic agenda of the security sector agencies of the government. The meeting also centred on a proposed study tour to be conducted by senior officers later this year to Indonesia to observe best practices that can be adopted in Fiji.

To comply with international rules of engagement in correctuons management, the FCS is committed to continuously improve its rehabilitation programmes and develop capacity building by learning from international partners to improve its best practises and standards.
