Officers from the Fiji Corrections Service on Tuesday, February 27 toured the Fiji Electricity Authority National Command Center in Vuda, Lautoka as part of its study tour.
The Officer’s are currently undergoing a 9-week ASC/CCO Leadership Promotional Course.
They witnessed one of the most advanced high tech Operations Centre in the country which manages all FEA power generation.
National Command Center Unit Leader- Systems and Control Manoj Kumar informed the FCS Officers of the great emphasis they placed on training their personnel to ensure efficiency in all their operations.
“We operate a highly advanced system here and always try to maintain efficient customer service, so our emphasis on training or up skilling our workers is top priority,’’ said Mr Kumar.
Assistant Superintendant of Corrections Sevuloni Naucukidi shared that the visit gave them better insight into another mode of operations in this successful organisation.
“I think now we are more appreciative of what goes on behind the scenes here to keep the lights on in our homes,’’ said ASC Naucukidi.
“We take back with us many things to ponder on in terms of how a successful business operation is managed.”
