Naboro, Fiji β The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) had the honor of officially welcoming the Assistant Minister of Justice, the Honorable Ratu Josaia Niudamu, at the Southern Division Headquarters in Naboro this afternoon.
Upon his arrival, Ratu Josaia Niudamu was warmly greeted by the Commissioner and senior staff members of the FCS. The occasion commenced with a traditional welcoming ceremony, followed by a late lunch and a meaningful talanoa session with the dedicated men and women of the FCS.
In his address, Assistant Minister Niudamu expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering commitment of officers serving across various institutions within the FCS. He also congratulated the FCS on reaching a remarkable milestone of 150 years of service in Fiji, highlighting the institution’s evolution into a professional body committed to justice. He acknowledged the officers’ dedication to upholding the integrity of the justice system, stating, βThe work you do is crucial as a key component of our justice system; your efforts ensure that we maintain order and rehabilitation within our society.β
The engagement highlights the collaborative relationship between the FCS and the Ministry of Justice, emphasizing the importance of maintaining partnerships with other ministries to enhance the overall efficiency of the FCS.
