FCS National Headquarters, Suva — The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) is pleased to announce the receipt of a generous donation of sporting and office equipment from BSP Life Insurance. Mr. Calvin Yee, Head of BSP Health Insurance for the Suva Branch, was present to officially hand over the items, which included rugby balls, netball balls, desk calendars, and personal folders.
Mr. Yee expressed his appreciation for the recent collaboration between BSP Life Insurance and the FCS, emphasizing that this partnership significantly supports FCS’s commitment to promoting wellness and reducing non-communicable diseases (NCD’s) and other health-related risks within the workplace.
During the handover, the Commissioner of Corrections conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to BSP Health Insurance for their steadfast support of the health and well-being of all FCS personnel. The Commissioner underscored the importance of the FCS Health Insurance partnership with BSP Life, highlighting its critical role in enhancing the healthcare of FCS staff. He noted that promoting a healthy workforce not only contributes to the well-being of personnel but also enhances their overall work performance.
This donation from BSP Life Insurance marks a significant milestone in the FCS’s ongoing efforts to address NCDs within its workforce, reinforcing the shared commitment of both organizations to prioritize healthcare and well-being among correctional officers.
