Members of the Fiji Corrections Service came together on Friday, 19 November 2021 to enjoy a full days outing representing their respective divisions in sports.
The fun day was the first organised meeting of all FCS personnel after the 8-mnonth long lock down due to the second wave of the COVID Pandemic since April 2021.
It was also a great opportunity for FCS staff to re-unite with their comrades, whom they have not see in months due to the pandemic.
The fun day was held over three sports namely, Mixed Netball, Mixed Volleyball and Mixed 5-aside soccer.
The Central Eastern Division won volleyball and netball while National Headquarters won the soccer meet.
Deputy Commissioner of Corrections Senior Superintendent Apakuki Qura said the sports day was to bring together, reconnect and reaffirm everyone’s place in the organisation which had seen some tough times.
“Many of us met again today after many months, its always important that our FCS family meet every now and then under more relaxed and fun conditions.”
