Two female recruits of the Fiji Corrections Service played their hearts out against world renowned netball team, the Silver Ferns team from New Zealand.
COC Vaiti Waqatabu and COC Una Raulini played an excellent game in the last game of the Oceania Tri-Series which saw the Silver Ferns winning 76-34.
For the duo, it is an experience that they will never forget. “We are just grateful to be part of the Fiji Pearls and play against the best team in the world. We have learnt a lot and hope that we can work on our weaknesses,” says Ms Waqatabu.
The duo are also aiming to retain their spots in the national team for the World Cup Championships which will be held in Sydney, Australia in August this year.
