Position Title: COMCORS Driver
Location: Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) Headquarters
Reports to: COMCOR

Salary Band: FCS 55 [29,449.00-52,759.00]
POSITION PURPOSE
A Commissioner’s Driver typically has a specific set of responsibilities that may vary based on the organization or governmental body they work for. Here’s a general outline of the role description.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely transport the commissioner and other officials as required to various locations, including meetings, events, and appointments.
- Ensure timely arrivals and departures, maintaining a punctual schedule.
- Regularly inspect and maintain the assigned vehicle, ensuring it is clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Plan efficient routes to avoid delays and ensure optimal travel times.
- Stay informed about traffic conditions and potential road hazards.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of the commissioner and sensitive information.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
- Document travel itineraries and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Maintain open communication with the commissioner’s office regarding schedules and any changes that may arise.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth transitions between appointments.
- Provide additional support to the commissioner as needed, which may include carrying materials or assisting with logistics during events.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)
- Accuracy of travel logs and incident reports
- Timeliness of submitting reports.
- Adherence to dress code and personal conduct standards
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule or unexpected situations.
- Compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Safety Record of the numbers of traffic violations or accidents per year
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 05 years’ experience in custodial duties
- Prior experience in a driving or chauffeur role preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion at all times.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong focus on accuracy in financial data entry and document preparation.
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, vendors, and external parties.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Willingness to work collaboratively within a finance team and provide support as needed.
