First route march for 2015

Officers of the Fiji Corrections Service participating at the route march from Korovou to Suva Grammar and return.

The Commissioner of Corrections, Lt.Colonel Ifereimi Vasu commended officers of the Fiji Corrections Service for the team work that was displayed during the first route march for 2015 that took place early this morning.

Speaking to more than 300 officers after the march from Korovou to Suva Grammar and return, Lt.Colonel Vasu said that the route march was aimed at bringing them together for the start of another year.

“We will face obstacles along the way and many challenges, but I hope that you will remain steadfast in your strife to be the best,” stressed Lt.Colonel Vasu.

Officers from Naboro Corrections Centre, Suva Corrections Centre, Women’s Corrections Centre, Nasinu Corrections Centre, Suva Remand Centre and National Headquarters took part in the first route march for 2015. They were also joined by more than 100 recruits who will be graduating as corrections officers in March this year.
