The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) held its annual Church Parade this morning at the Suva Civic Center, bringing together officers, their families, and community leaders in a heartfelt celebration of faith, service, and family unity.
The event, which commenced at 8:00 AM, acknowledged the invaluable contributions of FCS officers and their families throughout the year. It also served as a farewell service for the outgoing Corrections Chaplain, Reverend Knijoji Serutawake, who has completed his distinguished three-term tenure as Chaplain.
Commissioner of Corrections, Dr. Jalesi Nakarawa, expressed his gratitude for the commitment and dedication of FCS officers and the sacrifices made by their families. “Today, we not only celebrate our achievements and reflect on the challenges of the past year, but we also honor the unwavering support of our families. They are the foundation of our strength and resilience,” he said.
The Church Parade also provided a platform to pay tribute to Reverend Serutawake, whose spiritual leadership and guidance have been instrumental in fostering a culture of faith and compassion within the Fiji Corrections Service. “Reverend Serutawake’s tireless efforts and steadfast faith have left an indelible mark on the FC

S family,” Dr. Nakarawa added. “We wish him God’s blessings as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey.”
Following the service, attendees gathered for a family lunch, fostering fellowship and camaraderie among the FCS community.
The Fiji Corrections Se
