Officers of the FCS at the Westpac Morning Walk

Officers of the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) took part in this morning’s Westpac Walk which was held along Suva’s foreshore.

Attended by National Head Quarters officers, the FCS has always supported the Westpac Morning Walk in a bid to support its stakeholders as part of its Civic Pride program.

“This is also one way that we can address and promote awareness of non-communicable diseases amongst our officers,” says FCS Spokeswoman, Kuini Waqasavou.

“Physical training is part of our weekly program at the FCS and participating in this Westpac Morning Walk will no doubt boost morale of the officers and strengthen team bonding,” she added.

Ms Waqasavou added that this will not be the last of the physical activities that they will participate in but will continue partnerships with other stakeholders as well.

“We will be conducting our own Fun Run in October this year and we hope to gather as much support from members of the public, organisations and companies.”
