The Fiji Corrections Service proved to be the best when they won four trophies at this year’s Ministry of Justice Inter-Department Sports competition that was held at the Veiuto Grounds on Saturday, June 28th.

In opening the one-day competition, Acting Secretary General to Parliament, Mary Qilaiso said that it was imperative for the nine departments under the Ministry of Justice to work together and create a healthy bond to ensure effective service delivery.

Speaking to more than 100 civil servants that turned up for the event, Ms Qilaiso added that the one day sports competition will also ensure that the Ministry of Justice will be a team to reckon with come the 2014 Public Service Commission Annual Sports Day on the 26th of July.

FCS emerged as winners in the Mixed Netball, Mixed Touch Rugby, Mixed Soccer and Mixed Volleyball competitions while ITC topped the other departments in the Carom Board and Card Game.
