Officers of the Fiji Corrections Service  from Naboro, Suva, Nasinu and National Headquarters  attended the Commissioner’s Third Quarter

church parade which was held at the Suva Civic Centre this morning.

The church service was a time to reflect as well as spiritually strengthen the officers for the tasks ahead in the remaining quarter of the year.

In delivering his sermon to the officers, Corrections Padre, Mr. Sainivalati Sokiveta reminded the officers that they are all part of God’s majestic creation and should work according to the plans that have been set out for them to achieve.

The Commissioner of Corrections, Lieutenant Colonel  Ifereimi Vasu  also took time out to congratulate the officers for the well deserved win during the Service Excellence Awards where the FCS was the only Government Department that scooped the Prime Minister’s Award.

“Of course, this is just a start and we hope that though unison and co-operation that we will be able to achieve many more things in the months and years ahead,” added Lt.Colonel Vasu.

Lt.Colonel Vasu also thanked the families for their continuous support which has enabled the officers to carry out their work diligently and effectively.
